Where Does It All Come From? Decluttering Tips & Tricks For 2021

While being locked inside our houses, decluttering and organizing became one of the most beloved activities in our spare time. And who can blame us?

Earlier we never used to get time from our busy schedules but now, we have a lot of it. So much of it, that most people who couldn’t cross cleaning from their to-do-list are now able to do a whole lot more than cleaning.

But if you’re someone who has a mountain of stuff and your home, well, is a little too cluttered then decluttering can be an overwhelming task.

Hence, for you, we’ve created a list of to-dos when deciding to declutter your living space.

Decide the Starting Point

Before you go all out and start piling your stuff all around the house, decide on a starting point.

It is even better if you declutter in sections, for example, you can start with a particular area of the room (for instance, some storage space) frst and then move to another spot. This way you’re not just decluttering one space and cluttering another.

Declutter Your Mind & Visualize Everything

After you’ve decided on the starting point, take a deep breath and create a visual mind map.

We’ve already discussed in our previous blogs, how visualizing or simply creating a vision board can help you declutter your mind as well as get a clear idea of what exactly you want the space to look like.

Don’t Stress and Keep Calm

Well, once you’ve decided on what and where everything is going to go, you can start by taking things slowly. For example, you may want to get rid of all the not-important stuff and distribute them in different piles such as donating, selling, & throwing.

You just have to remember that decluttering takes time and it’s alright if you’re unable to declutter your space in a day or two.

Please Let Go & Don’t Hoard Stuff

If you haven’t decluttered in a while then chances are you’re going to fnd a lot of “important” items when decluttering. Found some old jewellery or a t-shirt that is way too small but you still want to hold on to the memories. Well, you’ve got to let them go.

Most people keep piling unnecessary stuff because they’re too scared to let go. And in the end, what’re they left with? Things that are just using space and deteriorating.

When in such circumstances, you can use the age-old mantra, “if you don’t love it and don’t use it then it has to go”.

Lastly, the Key to Avoid Decluttering is Better Storage

The sole purpose of decluttering is to get rid of the not-so-important items and fnding better use of the space. One way to achieve this is by investing in some new storage space. Luckily, we have got you covered. You will fnd a vast library of storage products on our website.
